Credit score for guaranteed approval

Credit score for guaranteed approval

Do you want a good credit card? Do you want to get the best rewards credit cards or the top card offers on the market? Do you want to get an airline miles credit card or a lower APR credit card? If you answered yes to any of the above then you only have to have one thing to get your wish…a good credit history! In order to get the most out of your financial plans and your credit cards you are going to need a solid credit backing. If you want to get approved for the best credit cards then you’ll need to do a few things, such as looking at your options, identifying what type of consumer you are and figuring out what you need most in a card! Here are a few ways you can improve your credit score and make your bad credit credit cards turn into good credit, credit cards!

Bank secured credit cards

Bank secured credit cards are one of the surest ways to build good credit score because they offer you a way to get what you want, at minimal risk! Here’s how it works: You go to your bank or financial institution and request a bank card and you put down a specific amount of cash, usually in $100 increments. This money goes into an account, much like a checking account, that you can use your card at. Once you spend up to that amount you can’t use your card again, until you put more money in your account!

Bank secured credit cards work great as a budgeting tool because you can be sure you won’t spend more money than you have, like you could with a ‘regular’ unsecured credit card. These credit cards look identical to any other card as well, emblazoned with the VISA, MasterCard, and American Express or Discover Card logos. Building a good credit score is easier with a bank secured credit card!

Co-sign for a credit card

The other popular method for building your credit eligibility quickly is getting a co-signer to help you get a good credit card. Often your co-signer will be a good friend or a relative with a good credit score themselves and a willingness to risk their credit to help you. Here’s how it works: You will apply for a credit card online the way you normally would, but instead of getting it on your own you will have your friend/ relative sign it with you. Essentially they are saying they will assume financial responsibility if you fail to pay or struggle with bills. If you get one of these credit cards for only a short period of time you will have a much better chance of getting a good credit card in the future.

Building good credit score - the hard way…

One thing you will most likely learn early in your bout against bad credit histories is that the battle is a long one. Depending on how bad your credit is, it could take years to build it back up to a respectable amount. If you just have a few late payments or missed payments it may only take a couple of months but if you have encountered a bankruptcy or two you may be in for the long haul! Here are a few tips for building a good credit history from scratch!

  • Pay your bills on time! One of the biggest mistakes a person can make is to forget when to pay their bills and or neglect them entirely! Most people get into deep credit problems because they don’t pay their bills on time. Of course, one or two late payments aren’t going to kill your credit but a series of consistent late payments is sure to damage your credit score significantly! Likewise, the fastest way to build credit quickly is to pay your bills in full and on time each and every time! This rule holds fast for all of your bills: credit card bills, utility bills, rent payments, phone bills, ECT.
  • Check your credit report often! Did you know that over 80% of people in the United States have wrongful material in their credit reports? Considering how much identity theft has become an issue in recent years it is especially important to make sure no one has touched your credit or your identity. By checking your credit report 3-4 times per year you will ensure that you are the only one with full access to personal information. If you want to know how to improve bad credit you can start with your credit report!
  • Spend within your means! Many people face bad credit histories because they have misused their finances in the past. People tend to spend more with a credit card then they do with cash so if they use their card a lot, they’re probably spending more then they were banking on! If you can resist going on spending splurges and live within your means you will have a much better chance at staying on the good side of your credit!

Getting good credit offers to come to you!

There are a lot of good credit cards out on the market nowadays and there shouldn’t be anything keeping you back from them. If you want to achieve maximum credit worthiness and get the credit card that you feel is best for you, you’ll have to do an extensive credit card search. Look for a card that fits your lifestyle and that fits your credit score and remember, you can negotiate a better deal if you feel that you deserve it!

Start with a bank secured credit card or a co-signer credit card and move into a more sophisticated rewards program credit card or something of that nature and soon you’ll be receiving all of the instant approval credit cards!
